The Imari-style porcelain plate originates from Japan and dates to the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, at the end of the Meiji period. Its construction features fine, thin-walled porcelain in a warm, slightly creamy white. The smooth, glazed surface is hand-painted with radiating panels in deep cobalt blue and vivid red, complemented by accents of light green, orange-red, and subtle gilding. Stylized trees and flowers—most likely peonies and chrysanthemums—adorn the plate, motifs deeply rooted in Japanese iconography. The gently scalloped rim completes the composition, while subtle variations in brushwork reveal the hand-painted execution.
