This Swedish Art Nouveau pocket watch stand dates from the early 20th century and is crafted from silver-plated brass, showcasing a cool, silvery tone with a subtly matte surface. The structure rests on four gently undulating loops that lend both visual lightness and stability. At the top, two stylized flower buds emerge; to the left, an organically shaped leaf motif is featured, while the base takes the form of a shell-shaped decorative dish. The central round medallion, marked by a brownish patina, draws the eye and underscores the piece’s period authenticity. Hand-finishing is evident in the florally inspired details and the twisted border around the medallion. The surface displays local darkening, patina, and minor abrasions, all attesting to its history. A small decorative element on the left side is missing. The stand remains in good vintage condition, with typical signs of age that enhance its value as a collectible.The form of this stand echoes the spirit of the fin de siècle, when nature and art were intertwined in everyday objects.
