This Art Nouveau pocket watch stand, crafted circa 1900 in Austria, exemplifies the craftsmanship of an era when everyday objects took on an artistic dimension. Made of solid bronze, originally gilded, it retains portions of its original gilding, lending the surface a subtle satin sheen with glossy highlights. In areas of wear, a matte, deeper bronze patina is visible, revealing the natural age of the metal. The broad, stable base is adorned with a delicate geometric border, while flowing lines rise to support the oval watch holder, which still features its original, gently faded fabric.
