The 'Delirium' poster (50x70 cm) by Stacey Rees, published by Paper Collective, is a contemporary paper composition in which an abstracted female figure merges with the dynamic form of a red crane. A dominant, cool pastel blue background contrasts with the vivid red of the crane, the soft yellow of the woman's torso, and translucent whites and pinks in the lower part of the figure. Visible painterly brushstrokes introduce texture and depth, while the entire surface is matte, without gloss. The vertical 50x70 cm format emphasizes the upright composition, and the fluid lines and simplified geometric shapes reveal inspirations from both modernism and surrealism. The poster’s visual language balances between lightness and expressive strength: the interplay of organic lines with vibrant red suggests movement and emotion, while the cool blue background calms the scene, lending it a serene, almost meditative quality. The composition hovers at the border between dream and reality—figure and crane intertwine into a single entity that intrigues and invites interpretation, leaving space for individual response. This piece would work well in a modern living room or home gallery, especially against a light, smooth wall where its pastel background and bold color accents can stand out. It can be paired with minimalist frames in white, black, or natural wood, as well as with other abstract works with geometric or modernist roots. Combining it with textiles in gentle blues, pinks, or yellows will create a harmonious, cohesive arrangement. Placing it near expressive green plants or matte ceramic accessories will add depth and highlight the artwork’s character within the space.
