These precision scissors, dating from around 1900, were most likely made in France or Germany. They are crafted from two refined materials: steel blades and white metal handles, which display a cool, silvery hue with a gentle patina that lends an antique character. The handles are richly decorated with raised botanical motifs in the spirit of Art Nouveau, with flowing organic lines and symmetrical forms that reflect the aesthetic of the turn of the 20th century. The predominantly matte metal surface is interspersed with subtle highlights, especially on the raised ornamentation.
