This colored panoramic copperplate engraving, 'View of Stuttgart in 1592' after Jonathan Sauter, was produced in Germany as a high-quality mid-20th-century reissue, reflecting the aesthetics of early modern cartographic art. The piece is mounted in a wide, off-white mat and set within a wooden frame trimmed with delicate gilding and a narrow inner red border. The engraving itself is composed in a harmonious palette of muted earth tones—beige, ochre, light green, and brown—interspersed with touches of blue on rooftops and water. Ornate cartouches above the cityscape feature botanical and heraldic motifs, German inscriptions, and ornate borders in red, blue, and gold. The visual language is distinctly late Renaissance, with meticulous bordering and a handwritten calligraphic script. The print’s surface is smooth and exceptionally well-preserved, free from tears
