Designed in collaboration with Bafeo, our bas-reliefs combine visual appeal with practical use, absorbing sound and presenting a sculptural appearance. The fern flower is a mystical symbol in Slavic folklore, representing the mystery of nature and associated with the secret and hidden wonders of the forest. Each LUDISM project refers to legends, myths, and folk tales. Made and designed in Poland by Ola Niepsuj, Karol Pasternak, and Piotr Maciaszek. LEGEND: The fern flower never blooms — or so they say. It can only be found on the shortest night of the year, during the ancient Kupala festival; it is a symbol of desire, mystery, and the impossible. Boys and girls disappear into the forest to search for it, not expecting to find the flower, but something entirely different — happiness, love, or perhaps even themselves. The myth lives on in fire-lit clearings and dew-covered leaves, whispered in the crackle of bonfires and the rustle of skirts brushing against the damp forest floor.
