The RM58 Classic is a striking revival of Roman Modzelewski’s groundbreaking 1958 armchair—one of the earliest examples of polyester-glass composite furniture design in Europe. Its seamless, sculptural shell was revolutionary for its time, and in this high-gloss red finish, the chair fully embraces its avant-garde spirit. Each piece is crafted using hand-laminated fiberglass-reinforced polyester, faithfully reproducing both the silhouette and the original production method of the 1950s prototype. The red lacquered finish elevates the form, highlighting every curve and contour of the chair’s fluid, organic design. The seat rests on steel legs powder-coated in black, which enhance its sleek, mid-century modern aesthetic.
