ABOUT PRODUCTID 2428
This porcelain rooster figurine, crafted in Austria (Eichwald/Dubi) in the early 20th century, stands as a representative example of European ceramic art from that era. Produced by the Bernard Bloch or B. Bloch & Co manufactory—established by Anton Tschinkel and Carl Teichert, renowned for their fine ceramics and stoves—the figurine is formed from high-quality porcelain with a lustrous, high-gloss glaze. Its color palette is dominated by cool, deep navy and cobalt tones, especially prominent on the tail and upper body, interspersed with subtle marbled effects and hints of green. The rooster’s elongated silhouette features a dynamically sweeping tail and a low, foraging posture. The wings and torso transition smoothly into soft grays and off-whites, while the head, finished in an almost translucent blue, is accented by pastel pink comb and wattles and a naturally toned beige beak. The legs and claws are finely modeled, with delicate texturing to suggest scales. Measuring 8.6 cm in height,
