This round coffee table from the 1990s exemplifies minimalist design with clear references to modernism and late-20th-century high-tech aesthetics. The tabletop is crafted from a single, mirrored pane of glass in a cool silver tone, offering a glossy, highly reflective surface that visually expands the room. Its edge is smooth and gently beveled, seamlessly integrated with the airy, cylindrical base made of polished, vertical metal rods attached to circular rings. The construction feels light and open, thanks to the negative space between the rods. With proportions of 80 cm in diameter and 40 cm in height, the table is both practical and visually impactful. The materials—glass and metal—are smooth to the touch, and the entire piece is set in a cool, silver palette. The table is preserved in very good vintage condition, showing only minor surface scratches on the glass and a subtle patina on the metal, typical of careful use in the 1990s.This coffee table channels the spirit of the late 20th century: it reflects the city lights and the pulse of modern living rooms, where lightness of form meets geometric clarity. The mirrored top evokes an openness to change and a fascination with light, while the chromed rods create a rhythmic structure that subtly animates the piece. It feels as if the table is telling the story of an era when minimalism met understated glamour, and interior space gained new meaning through transparency and reflection. The table can be paired with a sofa featuring curved lines and bouclé fabric to highlight a contrast between softness and the cool sheen of the mirror. It would work well in glamour-inspired interiors alongside chrome lighting, glass vases, or minimalist artworks. In eclectic spaces, it is worth combining with a velvet armchair or a boldly textured rug, allowing the mirrored top to reflect surrounding colors and shapes, enhancing the multidimensional character of the room.
