This hand-woven, round rug made of cashmere wool originates from Iran and dates back to the 1960s. Its primary color is a deep, cool-toned navy blue with a subtle, satiny sheen, lending the surface a delicate luminosity. The central field features a dense, regular arrangement of small boteh motifs in shades of rust, beige, and dark brown. The broad border is composed of two main bands: an inner one in burnt orange with intricate geometric and floral details, and an outer band in creamy white, adorned with stylized botanical patterns and winding vines in brown, blue, and orange. The pile is soft, lustrous, and even, while the proportions and border width reflect the classical balance of Persian weaving traditions.
