This ruby crystal vase, designed by Josef Hoffmann for the renowned Ludwik Moser & Sohne glassworks around 1920–1930, is a classic example of Viennese Secession at its finest. The low, wide form features a distinctly rounded belly and is divided into monumental vertical facets that capture and refract light, creating a dynamic interplay of shadows and reflections. Its deep, cool-toned ruby color is highly saturated and glossy, with subtle tonal variations depending on the glass’s thickness. The thick, slightly flared rim echoes the octagonal geometry of the faceted body, while the flat base is engraved with the Moser signature as proof of authenticity.
