This vintage Turkish cotton and wool rug from the 1970s features a classic, symmetrical layout inspired by Anatolian traditions, rendered in a pastel multicolour palette. The dominant warm peachy-orange field is complemented by cream and beige accents, while the central medallion and surrounding floral motifs appear in muted greys, blues, and subtle olive greens. The border is defined by geometric and floral patterns in lavender-grey, beige, and ochre tones, with gentle, watercolor-like transitions between hues. The rug has a matte finish, visibly low and slightly distressed pile, and hand-finished edges with no machine stitching. The weave is tight and even, reflecting the craftsmanship of handwoven rugs. Its condition is excellent – only minimal, even wear is visible, consistent with age and use, with no significant damage or repairs. The rug has been cleaned and is ready for use.
