This handwoven nomadic Beluch rug from Afghanistan, measuring 110 x 215 cm including fringes, is crafted entirely from natural wool – both in the pile and foundation – featuring a dense structure of approximately 200,000 knots per square metre and a thickness of about 9 mm. The primary color is a deep, warm reddish-brown, complemented by rich navy blue, golden yellow, green, and cream accents, resulting in a vivid, multicolored composition. The central field is filled with small, repeating geometric motifs, while the wide borders are adorned with star and cross patterns in alternating hues. The finish is matte, with a soft, slightly lustrous wool pile and natural, uneven fringes that underscore the handmade quality. Its proportions are elongated and rectangular, characteristic of tribal weavings.
