This handwoven nomadic Beluch rug, measuring 83 x 115 cm, exemplifies traditional craftsmanship from the borderlands of Persia and Afghanistan, dating to the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Made entirely of wool—both pile and foundation—it features a dense, tightly knotted weave (approximately 200,000 knots/m2) and a robust structure. The design centers on a geometric medallion, surrounded by repeating patterns and a border adorned with stylized rosettes and floral motifs in shades of dark brown, red, black, and beige.
