ABOUT PRODUCTID 42276
The Persian Bidjar Takab carpet, measuring 145 x 245 cm, exemplifies sophisticated early 20th-century Iranian craftsmanship. Hand-knotted from high-quality kork wool—sourced from the first shearing of young sheep—this rug features a densely woven structure of approximately 360,000 knots per square meter. Its surface displays a subtle, semi-matte finish with a gentle sheen, while every detail, from the geometric hexagonal central medallion to the richly ornamented floral and arabesque borders, demonstrates the precision of Bidjar weaving masters. The color composition blends deep red with navy, ivory, blue, green, and accents of gold and brown. The edges are completed with delicate fringes, giving the piece a harmonious and consistent aesthetic. The rug is preserved in ideal condition: all elements, including the fringe and borders, remain original and perfectly intact, with no visible signs of wear or restoration. This rug tells the story of Iranian weaving ateliers, where precision meets imagination
