ABOUT PRODUCTID 15412
This hand-knotted Indo-Mir Sarough rug from India, crafted in the Persian tradition in the late 20th century, features a balanced composition with a dominant brick-red tone highlighted by accents of deep navy, cream, beige, and a touch of green. The central field is adorned with a dense all-over boteh (paisley) motif in shades of blue and cream, creating a miniature, rhythmic Persian pattern. The rug is framed by a multi-layered border: the widest band in cream and beige is accented with intricate geometric and floral decorations in navy and burgundy. The design is symmetric, completed by short, white hand-knotted fringes along the shorter sides. The wool pile is dense, soft, and subtly lustrous, while the surface is uniformly sheared with a matte-satin finish. Weaving density is approximately 250,000 knots per square meter, and pile height is around 10 mm. Condition: good, with minor wear at
