This hand-knotted Indo Saroug Mir rug, measuring 230 × 340 cm including fringes, exemplifies traditional Indo-Persian craftsmanship in the classic Mir style. The main field features a warm, creamy beige background densely covered with the repeating boteh (paisley) motif in brown, deep navy, and subtle red accents. The wide border is composed of multiple bands: narrow geometric patterns on the innermost and outermost edges, with a dominant terracotta-orange strip adorned with intricate floral and vine designs in navy blue, cream, and light blue. The pile, made of high-quality wool, is even, soft, and slightly lustrous, reflecting a knot density of approximately 250,000 knots per square meter and a thickness of about 10 mm. The warp is made of cotton. Cream-colored fringes are even and clean. The rug is in very good condition, with no visible wear, stains, or damage.
