The Japanese Fans Gold 039305 rug (170x240 cm), designed by Florence Broadhurst, is a hand-tufted wool piece featuring a decorative pattern inspired by Art Deco and Japanese sensu fans. Warm, matte gold serves as the backdrop for bold black lines that form a dynamic, graphic composition, framed by a pronounced black border. The dense, thick pile ensures a soft, plush texture underfoot, while the hand-crafted technique highlights the precision of detail and balanced proportions. This rug fits seamlessly into modern, eclectic, or Art Deco-inspired spaces, acting as a strong, rhythmic focal point. The motif evokes the image of a fan unfolding in a single gesture; black and gold create visual tension, as if shadows glide across the surface. The graphic rhythm imparts a sense of movement and depth, while the wool’s softness adds a layer of calm and comfort. The rug communicates a sense of refinement where historical references meet the confidence of contemporary form. It can be paired with dark wood furniture, brass-toned metal, or black accents to enhance its graphic pattern. Against light walls and minimalist decor, the matte gold and deep black stand out. In Art Deco or modern settings, it is worth combining with geometric lighting and textiles in ivory, anthracite, or bottle green to achieve a balanced, rhythmic composition. The rug is made from wool with a pile weight of 4750 g/m2, featuring a thick, soft texture and neatly finished edges. Intended for indoor use, it is crafted using hand-tufting techniques, and the dyes used ensure lasting color fastness. The rug adheres well to the floor and is environmentally friendly.
