Its surface is dominated by deep, saturated navy blue, complemented by warm brick red, beige, cream, and accents of light blue and olive green, creating a harmonious multicolour palette. The figural, pictorial design—typical of rugs from the Kashmar region of Iran—features intricate architectural motifs, stylised floral elements, and animal figures, all framed by a wide, ornate border with repeating floral and geometric patterns. The rug’s structure is dense and meticulously knotted, the pile soft and slightly plush, with a subtle satin sheen. The composition centres around a medallion and mirrored motifs along the length, evoking the tradition of classical and Safavid-era Persian design. The edges are finished with short white fringes.
