ABOUT PRODUCTID 10759
This handwoven Kazak rug, originating from Anatolia, Turkey and dating to the 1960s, embodies the traditional Oriental design language of the Caucasus and Anatolian regions. Its overall dimensions, including fringes, are 133 x 210 cm. The rug is crafted entirely from wool – both pile and warp – with an approximate thickness of 10 mm and a weaving density of around 200,000 knots per square meter. The main field is rendered in a muted, creamy beige, serving as the backdrop for three large geometric medallions in shades of brick red, deep rust, ochre, and navy blue, highlighted by accents of white and light blue. The border features a repeating geometric motif, framed by a zigzag pattern in blue and rust, reinforcing the rhythmic composition. The pile is relatively short and slightly coarse to the touch. Condition: visible signs of age and use, including color migration, pile wear, and minor fraying at fringes and edges –
