This finely hand-knotted Keshan rug, measuring 138 x 215 cm, originates from one of Iran's most renowned centers of Persian carpet weaving. Crafted from pure, high-quality wool using the traditional Persian senneh knot, it boasts an impressive knot density of up to 500,000 knots per square meter. The central field features an ornate medallion in shades of ivory, burgundy, and muted blue, surrounded by intricate floral and arabesque motifs. Accents of beige, olive green, and gold harmoniously enrich the composition. The border is elaborately decorated with recurring floral and geometric patterns, highlighted by several narrow guard stripes. The overall design is rooted in the late 19th to mid-20th century Keshan style, with a matte finish and a subtle sheen, reflecting the refinement of natural dyes. The pile, approximately 5 mm thick, is dense and smooth, while the proportions are ideal for placement in a living room or more intimate settings.
