This hand-knotted Persian Keshan rug from the 1980s, made in Iran, impresses with its generous dimensions of 300 × 425 cm and its complex multicolored composition. The central field is rendered in a saturated ruby red, dominated by a striking medallion woven with floral, palmette, and vine motifs in ivory, light blue, navy, and pink. A wide border composed of several bands encircles the field, distinctly separating the main area from the edge with intricate ornamentation.
