The Linear Stem Olive 060501 rug by Orla Kiely is a hand-tufted piece made from high-quality wool, measuring 250x350 cm. Its entire surface features the designer’s signature repeating linear stem and stylized leaf pattern, characteristic of mid-century modern aesthetics. The composition is anchored by a rich olive green background, intersected by a symmetrical motif in light beige. The matte finish enhances the depth of color, while the thick, soft pile creates a dense and uniform texture. Every pattern detail is precisely executed and the straight, neatly finished edges complete the design. This rug conveys tranquility, graphic clarity, and balance—the rhythmic repetition of the motif evokes an ordered natural world, while the classic color palette introduces a subtle retro note, recalling the spirit of the 1960s and 70s. The dense, even pile offers a feeling of comfort and stability, and the harmony of proportions and hues brings a sense of equilibrium into the interior. Linear Stem Olive works well in spacious living rooms, where it can serve as a focal point. It may be paired with furniture in light woods or white finishes, as well as accessories in shades of green, grey, or off-white. Smooth-textured textiles and minimalist lighting fixtures can be combined to highlight the graphic quality of the pattern. The rug is suited to both open-plan living areas and more intimate lounge zones. The rug has a weight of 4500 g/m² and a densely woven, soft pile for comfortable use. It is hand-made from natural wool, which supports long-lasting color and product durability. The material is environmentally friendly and easy to keep clean. The rug adheres closely to the floor, is intended for indoor use, and remains stable during daily use.
