This antique Persian Malayer Savad-Shahr rug, dating from around 1920, is a testament to the tribal craftsmanship of northwestern Iran. Hand-knotted from hand-spun sheep wool on a cotton foundation, the rug measures 130 × 205 cm and represents the weaving traditions of the Malayer – Savad-Shahr region.
