This antique Meshed rug, handwoven in Iran in the early 20th century, exemplifies the classic Persian carpet tradition of its namesake city in the Khorasan province. The design centers around a medallion set against a deep, saturated navy blue field, surrounded by lush floral motifs and intertwining vines. A triple border, accented with burgundy red, turquoise, green, ivory, and subtle pinks, completes the composition. The pile is made from high-quality wool with a gentle, natural sheen, supported by a cotton foundation. The knot density is approximately 250,000 knots per square meter, with a pile thickness of 10 mm.
