The Multi Stem Kingfisher rug (200x280 cm), designed by Orla Kiely, is crafted from high-quality, hand-tufted wool. Its rectangular form features the iconic pattern of three vertical rows of stylized leaves, each linked by charcoal-colored stems. The warm, creamy white background serves as a neutral base, while the leaves are arranged in a palette of navy, teal, turquoise, olive, moss, sage, and muted brown. The rug’s pile is thick and soft, with neatly finished edges and a geometric rhythm characteristic of modernist design—smooth shapes and precise, graphic repetition. Drawing from the visual language of mid-century modern, the repeated organic motifs create a calm, orderly cadence. The multicolored leaves evoke a graphic collage effect, and the plush texture underfoot suggests comfort and tactile enjoyment. The rug communicates balance—between color expression and restraint, between function and decoration. It would suit a Scandinavian-inspired living room, where light woods and neutral walls allow the pattern’s colors to stand out. The rug can be paired with low-profile sofas or vintage furniture from the 1960s to emphasize its retro character. Surrounded by light textiles, glass, and green plants, the rug gains a sense of freshness, while diffuse lighting enhances the depth of its hues. It is worth combining with minimalist lighting and select accessories that echo the leaf colors. The rug has a weight of 4500 g/m2 and is hand-crafted from natural wool. Its dense, soft pile is pleasant to the touch and lays flat on the floor. Intended for indoor use, it offers colorfastness and is environmentally friendly. The manufacturer provides a 2-year warranty.
