ABOUT PRODUCTID 42829
This hand-knotted Persian Nain rug, measuring approximately 300 × 430 cm, was crafted in the renowned workshops of Nain in central Iran, near Isfahan, during the 1970s. The pile is made from high-quality wool blended with silk, set on a cotton foundation, resulting in a weaving density of around 250,000 knots per square meter and a thickness of about 10 mm. Its primary hue is a cool ivory with a subtle sheen, interwoven with intricate patterns in shades of navy, sky blue, burgundy, and beige. A large, elaborate central medallion and a wide border adorned with classic floral and arabesque motifs highlight the rug’s Persian origins. The edges are finished with traditional fringes. Condition: good – there are localized areas of pile loss and gentle wear in high-traffic zones, but the structural integrity remains uncompromised. The colors are well-preserved, showing only slight patina typical of vintage textiles. This rug tells the story of Persian craftsmanship at its most harmonious
