This handwoven vintage Persian rug from the Shiraz region of Iran dates to the 1940s and is crafted entirely from wool. Its surface is distinguished by a geometric, tribal pattern typical of Shiraz weaving, featuring three large central diamond medallions in deep blue and pink, each filled with stylized tree-of-life or cross motifs. The rich color palette includes a warm, brick-red ground, navy blue, golden yellow, and subtle accents of soft pink, orange, cream, and brown. Smaller geometric and stylized bird motifs surround the main field, while the multilayered border alternates zigzags and diamonds in black, cream, orange, and blue. The wool pile, handspun and slightly uneven, offers a tactile, authentic feel, and the edges are finished with simple, hand-knotted fringe. The rug is in good vintage condition: minor signs of age such as slight wear and localized fading are present, typical for well-preserved examples from this era, but the overall structure remains stable
