Sunflower Pink 060005 by Orla Kiely is a round rug with a 150 cm diameter, crafted entirely from natural wool. The design, inspired by the aesthetics of the 1970s and mid-century modern, features a central beige circle surrounded by petal-like forms in shades of powder pink, coral orange, ochre, warm brown, and a deep, nearly black navy border. The pile is dense, matte, and soft, with hand-finished edges that reflect the precision of artisanal weaving. Its symmetrical, geometric composition and clearly defined concentric layers create a cohesive, visually striking presence. Intended for residential interiors, the rug is designed for lasting use. The rug’s form evokes a blossoming retro graphic, introducing both playful energy and disciplined geometry. The contrast between fluid organic lines and saturated hues highlights the dynamic yet gentle nature of the pattern. The plush surface invites touch, while the repeated motif brings a sense of rhythm and vitality to the space. This rug works well as a central accent in a living room, where it can be paired with simple, modern furniture or vintage-inspired pieces. It can be combined with light sofas, natural wood tables, and accessories in ochre, blush pink, or deep navy tones. In the glow of warm lighting and neutral textiles, the rug’s graphic qualities are enhanced, while contrasting details such as brass lamps or ceramic vases can accentuate its decorative appeal. The rug is hand-tufted from wool with a weight of 4500 g/m². It features a dense, soft pile and a consistent surface height. The diameter is 150 cm, and the weight is approximately 10 kg. The rug lies flat and stable on the floor, is colorfast, and environmentally friendly. Suitable for indoor use.
