This antique, hand-woven Tekke nomadic rug from Turkmenistan measures 123 × 192 cm and is crafted entirely from wool, both in the warp and weft. The central field features regularly arranged, repeating 'Gol' medallions, a motif distinctive of the Tekke tribe. The border, particularly prominent along the shorter edges, is richly adorned with geometric patterns and finely detailed tribal symbols. The dominant color is a deep, warm red, enriched by accents of dark brown, black, ivory, and subtle beige; the surface has a matte sheen characteristic of quality wool.
