This antique, nomadic Tekke rug from Turkmenistan is a handwoven tribal piece dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. Crafted entirely from high-quality wool, it features a dense structure (approximately 360,000 knots/m²) with a short, even pile measuring about 9 mm in height. The dominant color is a saturated, warm red, complemented by deep browns, black, ivory, and subtle touches of orange and beige. The geometric design is structured around three large central medallions (guls), each filled with intricate motifs and surrounded by a network of smaller geometric and floral elements.
