This nomadic rug, handwoven by the Tekke tribe in Turkmenistan, measures approximately 110 × 155 cm including the fringes. The wool pile is dense and tight, with a knot density of around 490,000 knots per square metre and a thickness of about 9 mm. Its all-over design features repeated 'Gol' geometric medallions in shades of saturated crimson, deep burgundy, dark browns, black, ivory, and cream. Intricate zig-zag and cross-patterned borders define the shorter edges, while hand-knotted, naturally uneven wool fringes complete the textile's authentic nomadic character.
