This Turkish runner kilim from the 1960s is an authentic example of Anatolian handweaving. Crafted from hand-spun wool on a cotton foundation, it features an elongated, narrow format (341 × 101 cm) with a distinctly flat, slightly coarse texture characteristic of traditional kilims. The design is structured around alternating wide and narrow horizontal bands filled with geometric motifs—diamonds, hooks, zigzags, and tribal-inspired ornaments. The dominant hues are deep brick red accented by dark navy and black, with touches of beige, ivory, burnt orange, and muted olive green. The decoration is bold yet matte, reflecting the tactile quality of hand-woven wool. The edges are Import duties and taxes are not refundable in case of a return.
