The Bidjar runner, measuring 62 × 250 cm, is a handwoven Persian textile from western Iran. Made from high-quality wool on a sturdy cotton foundation, it presents a dense, substantial construction, true to the Kurdish Bidjar weaving tradition. The deep, brick-red color of the pile is complemented by regular Herati motifs—floral and fish ornaments—in shades of navy, cream, beige, olive green, and touches of yellow. The triple border frames the field with a wide, botanical central band and narrower geometric-floral stripes. The pile density is approximately 250,000 knots per m² and thickness is about 10 mm; the surface offers a subtle sheen and tactile softness. Straight, even fringes and well-preserved edges highlight the craftsmanship. The runner is preserved in good condition, showing only a delicate patina typical for vintage textiles of this calibre. This Bidjar speaks with the voice of western Iran, carrying the story of artisan communities that weave endurance and the experience of generations into every knot. Its brick undertone and repetitive patterns conjure the resilience and restrained elegance of the 'Iron Carpet of Persia.' In the lustrous, compact pile, traces of homes shielded by craft and beauty can be found, along with a calm that radiates from the disciplined order of pattern. The runner can be paired with classic solid wood
