ABOUT PRODUCTID 42306
This hand-knotted Persian Bidjar Takab runner, measuring approximately 290 x 88 cm, exemplifies the enduring tradition of Iranian craftsmanship. Woven from carefully selected wool, the rug is densely constructed, giving it a firm, weighty feel and ensuring long-lasting durability. The primary field, in a creamy matte finish, is densely patterned with symmetrical floral and geometric motifs rendered in deep terracotta, rich navy, golden ochre, olive green, and ivory. A multi-layered border, adorned with intricate vine and blossom ornaments in terracotta and navy, frames the central field and creates a strong visual accent. The underside is reinforced with leather strips for stability, and the natural, undyed wool fringes are neatly finished. The construction is robust, with tight, even knots and sharp pattern definition, and the rug remains in virtually pristine condition, free from visible wear or restoration. This runner quietly evokes the atmosphere of Persian weaving ateliers—each thread a testament to patience and skill, every motif a subtle nod to tradition. The sophisticated yet understated palette creates a vibrant, orderly composition, with light playing across the wool pile to reveal shifting shades and textures. The intricate pattern guides the eye calmly, reminiscent of the ornamental borders of ancient manuscripts and the ordered beauty of Persian gardens, all captured in wool. The Bidjar Takab runner could be paired with classic wood furniture, minimalist ceramics, or mid-century modern pieces as a refined accent. It would work well in a grand hallway, elongated corridor, or spacious living room; placing it alongside neutral walls and understated textiles would let the detailed pattern shine. In eclectic or collector's interiors, the rug's depth could be enhanced by combining it with other Persian carpets or bold, graphic artworks.
