ABOUT PRODUCTID 9222
This hand-woven Hamadan runner from the 1960s exemplifies classic Persian craftsmanship, originating from the historic region of Hamadan, Iran—renowned for its centuries-old rug-making tradition. Crafted from high-quality wool, the runner features a rich, saturated palette: deep reds and burgundy, accented by navy, black, white, green, orange, and pink. The central field is dominated by a large geometric medallion in vivid red and navy, surrounded by a dense array of floral and angular motifs. The border, encased in multiple protective stripes, is decorated with stylized flowers and geometric patterns characteristic of mid-20th-century Persian design. Its surface is matte and plush to the touch, with a densely woven texture. Edges and ends are neatly finished, showing no signs of fraying or damage. The rug is preserved in very good condition—no holes, stains, or visible traces of wear. The design of this runner tells the story of Hamadan—a region where tradition meets everyday life. Every line and detail reveals the craftsman's hand, who, half a century ago, brought vibrant color to wool. The
