This handwoven Persian runner from Hamadan, Iran, dates to the mid-20th century and is crafted from high-quality wool on a cotton foundation. Measuring 95 × 340 cm (including fringes), the rug features a dense, compact pile (approx. 200,000 knots/m²) with a thickness of about 10 mm. The central field is dominated by a saturated, warm red, punctuated by four large diamond-shaped medallions with geometric and floral motifs in beige, brown, navy blue, and black. A wide border frames the composition, adorned with repeating floral and geometric patterns in cream, brown, and blue—creating a striking contrast
