The Indo Mir Persian runner is a handwoven wool carpet made in India in the 21st century, composed entirely of high-quality wool. Its design features a classic Mir pattern: on a saturated crimson field, rows of boteh motifs—small, geometric shapes echoing the paisley form—are densely arranged in ivory, dark brown, and beige tones. The wide border frames the piece with a creamy band adorned with repetitively stylized geometric and floral elements in black, beige, and deep red, providing dynamic contrast to the central field. The runner is finished with short, cream-colored fringes; the border is matte while the pile has a gentle sheen, subtly reflecting natural light. The rug’s elongated and narrow proportions are tailored to practical, contemporary spaces such as corridors or passageways.
