This hand-knotted Persian runner from the Keshan region in Iran is crafted entirely from high-quality wool, exemplifying the classic design heritage of its provenance. The composition centers on a deep, matte red field, enlivened by symmetrical medallions and stylized floral motifs. Accents of cream, light blue, yellow, and touches of dark blue and green create harmonious contrasts, while short white fringes complete the edges. Its elongated, narrow format (440 × 84 cm) highlights the runner’s character, with a softly lustrous wool surface and visible, precise hand-knotting details. The structure is robust, the proportions clear, and the repeating border motifs frame the central decoration. The rug is in ideal condition—new, showroom quality, with no signs of wear, damage, or restoration. The design of this rug carries the story of Persian craftsmanship—every thread contributing to a sense of harmony and timeless rhythm. The Keshan runner seems to speak in the voice of tradition: “My red stands for the fire of the Orient, my patterns echo ancient gardens and palace arcades.” The gentle sheen of the wool subtly reflects light, emphasizing the depth of color and precision of the motifs, while the symmetry brings a sense of calm and order to an interior without sacrificing decorative richness.Such a runner can define a path of light in a spacious hallway or living room—it works beautifully at the foot of a sofa, alongside a long dining table, or within a refined corridor. It may be paired with smooth, simply lined wooden furniture to let the classic ornamentation take center stage, or with minimalist ceramic and glass accents to allow the rug’s colors to dominate. This piece is suited both to collector’s interiors
