This handwoven Turkish kilim runner, dating from the 1960s, is crafted from high-quality wool on a cotton foundation. The rug’s composition features a repeating geometric diamond motif, each filled with smaller multicolored triangles. The palette is dominated by deep crimson, burnt orange, magenta, and rich brown, punctuated by accents of light blue, grey, and black. The border consists of interlocking diamonds in white and beige on a dark brown or black ground, providing a distinct frame for the central pattern. The surface has a matte finish typical for Anatolian flatweaves, with a tight and slightly coarse texture. Neatly finished short fringes run along the edges.
