This vintage kilim runner from late 1970s Turkey showcases a geometric design rooted in Anatolian weaving tradition. Crafted from cotton and wool, it features an elongated, narrow format (309 × 88 cm), ideal for hallways, corridors, or as an accent in open living areas. The matte surface and flat weave create a distinct, slightly coarse texture, while the craftsmanship is evident in the tight structure and precise motif alignment. The central field consists of three large, nested diamond medallions filled with small repeating triangular patterns. The borders are adorned with dynamic bands of smaller geometric forms. The color palette combines warm, earthy tones of terracotta, rust, and muted red with accents of cream, beige, grey, black, and subtle hints of faded blue and green. Edges are finished with traditional kilim fringes, and the ends feature narrow horizontal bands with additional motifs.
