This vintage Kaiser Idell wall lamp from the 1950s is a hallmark of German industrial design, conceived by Christian Dell and produced by Kaiser Leuchten. The construction features an extendable scissor arm (accordion mechanism) that allows smooth adjustment of reach (approximately 50–120 cm) and shade angle. The entire piece is crafted from lacquered steel in a warm, creamy ivory tone with a subtle yellowish cast. The slightly domed metal shade is crowned with a black Bakelite switch. The scissor mechanism is composed of flat steel strips joined by visible round rivets, while the robust wall mount contains multiple mounting holes and a cable exit. The lamp retains authentic signs of use: minor paint chips, light scratches, and a gentle patina along edges and joints.
