ABOUT PRODUCTID 42477
This Art Deco-inspired sculpture captures a seated nude female figure, crafted in bronze and placed on a geometric base of polished black marble. The form is marked by streamlined, elongated proportions and minimal stylization, reflecting the aesthetics of the 1920s and 1930s. The bronze surface is smooth and subtly glossy, allowing light to softly emphasize the gentle curves of the body, while the marble base contrasts with its deep color and reflective finish. Minimalist in spirit, the piece features stylized anatomical details and a balanced composition, executed with attention to proportion and detail and without visible joins or assembly marks. The dimensions are 17 cm high, 17 cm wide, and 10 cm deep. The overall condition is good, with minor scratches and natural signs of age expected of an original Art Deco decorative piece. In this figure, one senses the tranquility and elegance of the interwar period: an object that speaks of fascination with form and movement, so vital to Art Deco. The simplified silhouette, introspective gaze, and soft lines tell a story of harmony and modernity—almost as if the spirit of the 1930s is captured in a single, composed gesture. The interplay between the bronze's warmth and the marble's coolness evokes the ambiance of salons and boudoirs where art was a constant companion to daily life. This sculpture could be placed on a low console in dark wood or a marble mantelpiece, where its clean outline can be fully appreciated. It would pair well with geometric mirrors, period lamps, or a modernist ceramics collection. Whether in a strongly Art Deco-inspired interior or a minimalist setting, it introduces a note of poised elegance and refined form—best complemented by richly textured textiles or graphite-toned glass to highlight the contrast of materials and eras.
