ABOUT PRODUCTID 5398
This rosewood secretary desk, designed by Gunnar Falsig for Brdr. Falsig Møbelfabrik Holstebro in Denmark during the 1970s, exemplifies the refined lines and material clarity of mid-century Danish modernism. Crafted entirely from rosewood, its deep, warm brown hue and pronounced wood grain are highlighted by a semi-gloss finish. The structure features clean, minimalist lines with gently curved sides characteristic of the period. The upper section includes four small drawers with sculpted integrated handles and a central compartment with two sliding glass doors for both storage and display. A seamlessly integrated pull-out writing surface sits just below, while the lower section houses three spacious drawers with distinctive oval recessed handles. The desk stands on slender, tapered legs, further enhancing its visual lightness. Precision joinery and an absence of visible hardware underscore the craftsmanship. The piece is preserved in very good condition
