This Swedish serving cutlery set from the second half of the 19th century consists of a serving fork (27 cm, 107 g) and a cake server (29 cm, 126 g), both presented in their original rectangular case lined with cream-colored silk (32 × 13 cm). The handles are crafted from silver, hallmarked with the Swedish three crowns and 833 fineness, and feature a smooth area intended for engraving a monogram or initials. Rich relief decorations include a prominent cherry motif and elaborate rocaille scrollwork, characteristic of the Rococo revival. The blades and tines are gilded metal, adorned with delicately engraved vegetal patterns. The construction is robust, with finely executed joints between the silver handles and the gilded functional parts. The set is preserved in very good condition – the cutlery shows only minimal patina and faint surface marks consistent with age, while the case has minor signs of use, and the silk lining remains clean and soft. This set evokes the spirit of late 19th-century Sweden, when local craftsmanship drew on Rococo traditions
