This faience serving dish, produced by Utzschneider & Cie in Sarreguemines at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, exemplifies the refined tradition of French decorative arts. Crafted from ivory-toned ceramic, the piece features a transfer-printed motif of grapevine leaves and tendrils in soft greys and blacks. The gently scalloped rim is adorned with ornate, molded handles, highlighted by hand-applied gold accents that echo the era’s historicist ornamentation.
