ABOUT PRODUCTID 25808
This set of six glasses from the 1930s, produced by Huta J. Stolle 'Niemen' in Brzozówka, is a fine example of Polish Art Deco craftsmanship. Each glass is crafted from dual-colored crystal: the bowl features clear, hand-cut facets arranged in vertical segments, while the stem and base are made of dense, olive-green crystal shaped into a faceted, truncated pyramid. The high-gloss finish enhances the clarity and brilliance of the glass, and the proportions—8 cm in height and 6.6 cm in diameter—create a compact, modern silhouette. The set is preserved in very good condition; only one glass shows a minor chip at the base, with no visible restoration or signs of heavy use. These glasses evoke the era when geometric discipline and color contrast were symbols of modernity and interwar optimism. The pronounced stem line and multi-angled cut capture the spirit of the 1930s, a time when Polish glasshouses vied with Europe's finest. Each bowl refracts light like a prism, while the olive base grounds the form, anchoring the fleeting brilliance in the reality of the everyday table. This set can be used in both classic and modernist interiors—pairing well with dark wood or marble surfaces to highlight their color contrast and faceted cuts. They may be combined with other Art Deco glassware or minimalist tableware in shades of white and grey to emphasize their geometric rhythm. In a collector’s setting, they are worth displaying in a glass cabinet or on a console, where their clarity and olive accent offer a subtle finishing touch.
