This set of twelve round ceramic plaques was designed by Bjorn Wiinblad for the Nymolle manufactory in Norway, dating from the 1970s. Each plaque is an individual composition: finely detailed black line illustrations depict whimsical, romantic scenes with pairs of figures in stylized period attire, surrounded by lush floral and botanical motifs. The ceramic background is a warm-toned white, while the matte finish highlights the subtle texture of the material. Each plaque features a small hole near the edge for hanging, making them suitable both as wall art and as functional trivets.
