ABOUT PRODUCTID 28860
This set of four chairs and two armchairs, designed by Leslie Dandy for the British manufacturer G-Plan in the 1960s, exemplifies mid-century modern style. Crafted from teak, the frames highlight the natural grain of the wood, finished with a subtle satin sheen achieved through Danish oil treatment. The seats are upholstered in new, high-quality light cream fabric, providing a gentle contrast to the warmth of the teak. The gently curved backrests feature vertical slats, ensuring ergonomic support and visual lightness. The slender, tapered legs—with the rear legs subtly splayed—enhance both stability and the harmonious silhouette of each piece. Precise joinery, absence of visible hardware, and perfectly smooth surfaces attest to G-Plan’s craftsmanship. The upholstery is taut and spotless, while the wood shows no signs of wear, scratches, or patina. The entire set is in excellent, restored condition following comprehensive renovation. These chairs and armchairs echo the spirit of 1960s British optimism, when design aimed
